Case history: Natalia Farran

Looking for a video designer to help you with your social media campaign? Here’s how we’ve helped businesses like yours to become successful.

How we created a global crowdfund campaign in three languages

Natalia Farran is a singer who, after many successful years of working for other people, wanted to produce her debut solo album. This required a crowdfund to be started and various media produced to send to her donors.

Firstly we designed the album cover in mockup form, which gave us a good idea of how the campaign should look. This involved choosing fonts and a colour scheme.

Next we needed to make the main video to start the crowdfund. Natalia supplied some great videos recorded at home, which needed to be re-edited to remove room echo from some spoken parts. We then collaborated over email, as dozens of photos and video clips from her career were added. The video ends with calls to action, QR codes and web links – we wanted to leave no stone unturned to provide opportunities for people to donate to the album launch. A subtitle track was created and is available for anyone watching on mute.

The video was then remixed twice, into two other languages, using alternative commentary supplied, and subtitle tracks produced for YouTube to replace the ones YouTube generates with AI, which can be inaccurate.

The next stage was to produce lots of little clips for social media, all riffing on the name of the album – “About Time” – to help expand her audience. The project also involves the production of a series of several spoken interviews with the band members, interspersed with their career highlights.

The videos have received thousands of “hits” and attracted interest from music industry figures involved with Natalia and her project.
