Launching the Body Sculpt Pro in the UK

We were approached in 2021 by CHC Aesthetics, a leading aesthetics clinic in Southend, to produce social media videos for their new service – the CHC Body Sculpt Pro. Nowadays services like this are to be found on every high street, but our client was the first to bring it to the UK, much as they had pioneered services like laser liposuction in the UK in the early 2000s.

The production of these videos required an amount of filming of the actual process itself, so the clinic arranged for a model who could be filmed without breaching any client confidentiality.

The dozens of clips filmed then needed to be edited down into something less than a minute long, as well as to contain lots of visual cues for the benefit of anyone watching “on mute”, as these videos would be re-edited for Instagram and Facebook and the sound not necessarily audible.

The client did not want music, rather something suitably dramatic, which required us to design a range of sounds they could choose from in order to find something suitable. The sound chosen was a drum bring struck, slowed down, with echo effects and backwards masking.

Because the ambient sound recorded in the clinic was too noisy, we designed various sound effects to replicate the sound of the machinery being operated, as well as producing a loop of the sound of the actual machinery itself being operated.

The end result has been shared thousands of times on their social media and “remixed” into other versions.
